spiderweb

I look at him, he looks back
We both feel the flying sparks
His face lights up while the world goes dark
And thats when i know it starts


Sometimes I leap, sometimes retreat
He spins his web around my heart
He pulls me closer by the beat
He draws me near, he's a work of art


I hold on tight, to every thread
Of the web that spins around
To give me hope when I'm filled with dread
That I'll be lost and never found


Because I know, this cannot last
The spider's not here to stay
He'll move to the next web real fast
With not a word to say


He goes away, he leaves me there
Clutching the web with all my might
It was a haven of love and care
But turned to a trap overnight


I must escape, and run away
But I'm bound too tight, I cannot go
I know the pain will catch me someday
But i will not let the spider know
