desert sands

They're always moving in your mind
Memories of a special kind
Like swirling winds and the red hot sun
They sting the eyes of anyone

With no rain to bring them down
Without a way to send them out
They only fade as the desert sands
Slowly slip through your hands

Soft and fine as they may be
Beyond them you cannot see
They cloud your eyes in a cloudless land
Such is the power of the desert sand

As twilight falls, the heat abates
The stars rush forth from their heavenly gates
The stars shine bright in the desert night
Making stinging sands shine silvery bright

The desert moon gazes at the desert sands
That bend time itself in their timeless hands
As she reposes calm at imperial height
They shroud her too, out of sight

  3. i believe you should not just put this one up but should try and write another piece with your own ending...
for it is blatantly obvious that the last pasts are written by a different person, due to the abrupt shift in writing style...in this case...mine
